Mackenzie is the owner and head makeup artist of 715 Beautify. She started this business in 2016 as a freelance artist. Since then, she has grown her team into the wedding makeup artistry + aesthetics business it is today.
In 2016, Mackenzie started doing makeup for her fellow high school classmates for prom or homecoming. She didn’t charge anything starting out. Her peers then voluntarily began paying her for makeup. At this moment, she transformed her passion and talent into a profitable business!
Fall of 2018, Mackenzie began working as a Beauty Advisor for Sephora. She underwent extensive training in cosmetic application, product knowledge, and brand artistry techniques throughout her two years working there. She has completed certification training as a Brand Artistry Expert with Make Up For Ever.
Mackenzie pursued a college degree to expand her knowledge of the business world to serve her clientele better. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin—Green Bay in 2021. Her Bachelor of Arts degree is in Communication with emphasis in Social Media Strategies.
“My degree has provided me with skills to market myself to brides and allow me to professionally assist them. Marketig is a huge part of business ownership. I have valuable skills in this leadership role.”
Post college, Mackenzie worked full-time in numerous marketing roles. Although she was talented and skilled, they were not serving her mentally. She wanted a career that "sets her soul on fire with passion". So, she went back to school at Fox Valley Technical College to pursue a degree in Aesthetics. Mackenzie achieved a Technical Diploma from FVTC in Aesthetics and certificates in Chemical Exfoliation and Microdermabrasion.
Currently, when she is not in her makeup artist role, she practices as a Licensed Esthetician at her studio space in Appleton, providing facials, waxing, eyelash extensions, and other aesthetic services, to her loyal clientele.
“I’m so grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way. I’m so blessed to do what I love everyday!”
Outside of business, Mackenzie enjoys spending time up north at the family lake house with her husband + dog. She married in January 2024 in Jamaica. "As a 2024 bride, I understand the stress of wedding planning and strive to make things simple for any bride that books my makeup services." Mackenzie is a lover of sunshine, books (especially ones that take place in luxurious locations), coffee, and fun cocktails with good company.
In the spring of 2024, Mackenzie was named a finalist in Wisconsin Bride Magazine for "Best Skincare Services". She has also had her work as a makeup artist featured twice in this prestigious bridal publication.
